Recently I have been more open to new fashion adventures and for me, mixing prints is definitely one of them. I always wondered how it was possible to achieve such perfect ensembles with that much difference in patterns and prints. Like everything, mixing prints has its little tricks and secrets. After many hours researching and finding my favorite ones, I am here to share them with you and make your closet filled with endless fashionable possibilities! The first thing to know about mixing prints is that in order to find harmony between the pieces it is important to link them with a common color palette or undertones. Also, a good idea is to combine different textures. If you are unsure of where to start: black and white is always a safe bet. It is important to make a single piece, your key item. Whatever you decide to pair it up with should be a subtler print, in order to achieve harmony and not let the prints become “too much”. It is also very important to accessorise accordingly by adding a solid color item (shoes, handbag, necklace) that will tie your outfit together. My favorite patterns to style are stripes with animal print or florals. As I learn more and feel more confident, I will be diving into the deep end of mixed prints! The best thing about mixing prints is that it can be done during all seasons, from fall through summer! Here are some of my favorite ways of mixing prints! Enjoy, and remember to be bold and dare to be yourself! Fashion is not about faithfully following a certain trend, it is about seeing a trend that you like, and making it your very own! screen-shot-2014-07-28-at-11-11-07-pm I found these useful styling tips from  MadebyGirl and will be incorporating to my wardrobe!
